Watching a Pot of Water Boil

Have you ever watched a pot of water come to a full boil? At best it's one of the most frustrating experiences. You fill the pot with water. Turn the stove burner on. Come back a few minutes later. Stare at the water. You see a bubble or three. Adjust the flame higher. Depending on the initial temperature of the water, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to come to a full boil. It's seems like forever until the full boil.

So, tell the truth. Are you watching the water come to a boil every time you go to Indeed.com or another job search site? You fish around the Internet. Each frustrating time there are no jobs that match your skills. How many times is it? You search 5, 6, 8 or 12 times a day to find No opportunity. Then comes that middle of the night wake up process. You sneak over to the computer for one last job search or two. . . 20 minutes later you're back to bed.

5 times a day makes each 20 minute Internet fishing expedition add up to almost 2 hours of job searching.

What's a more important priority for your business career? Wasting time searching for opportunities? Or
Spending time submitting "*value propositions*" to identified opportunities?

An ETP Toolbar "Smart Radar" subscription is set it and forget it. It automates your job search. You check it once a day. Then work smarter submitting your value propositions to the identified openings.
